Hi thought you might find this interesting. A surge protector (or surge suppressor) is an appliance designed to protect electrical devices from voltage spikes. A surge protector attempts to regulate the voltage supplied to an electric device by either blocking or by shorting to ground voltages above a safe threshold. The following text discusses specifications and components relevant only to the type of protector that diverts (shorts) a voltage spike to ground.

Many power strips have surge protection built-in; these are typically clearly labeled as such. However, sometimes power strips that do not provide surge protection are erroneously referred to as surge protectors.

laptop battery is the life blood of laptop if your out of wall outlet. so protecting it is really a must.

Am just wondering if laptop adapter comes with basic surge suppressor.

Surge protectors for computers are commonly found in your local computer shops, or home center and if you are particular about a brand not found locally, you can always go online and find it there. You will have to be careful about the kind of surge protector you will purchase. Just because it is one and it is cheap does not mean it is a good product that will keep your computer from frying up. Some brands are more reliable than most albeit they might be a bit more expensive than your garden variety surge protectors.

I’m definitely a fan of surge protectors. My equipment is too valuable to take any chances. Laptops are not cheap and for the small price of a surge protector, I have peace of mind.

Well i think laptops are very sensitive thing so that they requires a great care and there are lots of hardware and the other things are are available in the shops for the laptops. Anyways keep it up and keep continue with your valuable thoughts.

In my opinion If you want your laptop to last for a long time, then you need to protect it from the inside with a laptop surge protector and its available in hardware and electronic store.

this is great That it can be especially handy when we have to use our laptop at hotels and laptop surge protector assures that we don’t have to worry again about power shortages or electrical surges that can break our laptop down.
